Thank you Gloria Motter

.This photo I think may be Simon or Samuel Yearick.  The photo was in an album that had my great great grandmother LV Rhine Culbertson in it.  I do not know of a connection to my family yet.  The album has about 40 unidentified pictures.  They range from the 1860's the early 1900's.
At the bottom of the photo in very worn pencil, it says "Yours  S. Yearick.
It was taken between 1864 and 1866 by Kracaw and Farley, Photographers, in
Washington, Iowa.  It is dated by an orange tax or revenue stamp on the
back.  The writing is barely visible on the front of the photo, but I have  computer enhanced it as much as possible.

I think that the following is the family that the picture belongs to.  In the album is a photo of Jennie Switzer, who may be the daugher of Catherine, the widow of John Switzer.  My gggrandmother LV Rhine's mother was Nancy Goodin, this would assume that Elvina Yearick's husband name may have been spelled differently Goodin instead of Goodwin.

Harveyn Sylvester  Yearick &
Katherine Viola Stover
Harvey Sylvester Yearick born about 1861 and died 1938. His wife Katherine Viola (Katie) Stover born 1865 and died 1953. They are both buried in Lockhaven, PA.

Harvey was cabinet maker. He was a son of Jacob and Elizabeth (Grenoble) Yearick.

They had one child a son Ralph Otto Yearick born 15 Feb 1891 in Jacksonville, Marion Twp, Centre Co., PA. He died 11 Apr 1970.

Ralph Otto married 14 Oct 1914 at Wilmerding, Allegheny Co., PA, to Margaret Mae McCormick,
daughter of John and Margaret (Godard) McCormick.

NOTES say that he joined Westinghouse Air Brake Co. as a stenographer in 1909; retired in 1958 as Vice-president.  Retired again in 1966 as Director.

Their child:

Ralph McCormick Yearick, born 8 Mar 1920 at Wilkinsburg, Allegheny Co., PA; Married 5 Sep 1941 to Margery Wood.

My NOTES say that he "helped build atomic engine for the Nautilus."

I show these children for Ralph M. and Margery (Wood) Yearick:

1 -    Margaret Sue Yearick, born 5 June 1944.
2 -    Anne Wood Yearick, born 23 Jan 1947.
3 -    Kathy Lynn Yearick, born 28 Sep 1949.
4 -    Patricia Leigh Yearick, born 29 Mar 1951.
5 -    Ralph Wood Yearick, born 5 Apr 1952.

My wife's older sister remembers visiting many times with Harvey and Katie at their home in Warren, Ohio. My wife's parents actually lived with Harvey and Katie in Warren when her oldest sister (June Eileen Tate) died there and is buried Oakwood Cemetery. The date was March 24, 1926

Does anyone have any information about the second wife of John Adam Rishel,
I have copied this from the this web site
http://www.geocities.com/uncledudly2001/index2.html  I believe Sarah
Yearick's first husband was Daniel Miller.  On this site there is a photo of
Jeremiah Miles Rishel .  I am attaching a picture from the album I have.  I
think the same man is sitting, without, beard in my picture.  It looks like
he is wearing the same jacket, his hair has the same appearance and square
chin, shoes as much as they show look similar, and his has broad hands.
Would welcome your opinions regarding the photo.  I have contacted Cullen
Rishel, we have been unable to contact John Gruber the owner of the other
photo.
